Hi.
I was a norton antivirus so far but since i am thinking of getting a new laptop soon i didn't feel renewing my subscription for this year so i downloaded the free avg antivirus to give it a try.
I have to say that i liked it so far and it seams accessible for the most part. But i have got a question.
Is it possible to remove the text that avg adds at the end of incoming and outgoing messages send with microsoft outlook? It is not anything major but if we can remove those messages that would be good.
If you can help that would be nice
Thanks

Yesterday i said that it wasn't a bigg problem that avg was adding short messages at the end of emails but now i had a problem because of that.
I wanted to subscribe to a freelists mailing list. I got an email saying reply to this confermation email to subscribe and after replying i was getting an email saying that the email had wrong commands or something. And i think this is because of the text that avg decided to add.
At the end i had to use a web email to subscribe to the list i wanted because it was inpossible with outlook.
So now i think there is a true reason to remove those messages from my emails if this is possible.
If anyone can help i can give 1 milion points as a thanks bonus.

Heya Nikos if i understand follow these tips. Shall we?
Go to AVG, AVG Control Center and hit enter.
Press tab until you hear list view and with down arrow go to E-mail scanner incoming and outgoing e-mail ...
Now press applications key or right click and choose properties.
Now press tab until you hear Configure and press tab again until you hear details button.
and then erase the Outgoing Mail or Incoming mail Certification Text and hit OK.
Nikos? congratulations! poof it's gone.

Thanks for your help. Much appreshiated. I tried this already. It removes some of the text the text that says no virus in this incoming or outgoing message but it still adds some text about the latest avg update unless if i did something wrong myself.

Lol i didn't try it, but try to Disable Plugin or change the pulldown when composing the email to convert it to plain text.

that text shouldn't have caused any problems for a mailing list, it must have been the list with the problem
